John Del Vecchio is Principal of Ranger Alternative Management, L.P. and Co-Portfolio Manager of AdvisorShares Ranger Equity Bear ETF (NYSEARCA:HDGE), an actively managed all-short ETF that shorts individual stocks without the use of leverage or derivatives. Prior to the launch of HDGE, Mr. Del Vecchio managed short-only portfolios for Ranger. His professional experience includes working for well-known short seller David Tice as well as renowned forensic accountant Dr. Howard Schilit. Additionally, Mr. Del Vecchio is the creator of an index that tracks the earnings quality of companies and co-author of the book, What’s Behind the Numbers? A Guide to Exposing Financial Chicanery and Avoiding Huge Losses in Your Portfolio.
