Employing a Float Shrink Concept to Achieve Outperformance

Minyi Chen is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of TrimTabs Investment Research, Inc., and is a partner of TrimTabs Asset Management, leading the investment and research team. Mr. Chen serves as the Portfolio Manager of the TrimTabs Float Shrink ETF. Mr. Chen has spearheaded the firm’s expansion in the ETF space. TTFS, the first ETF TrimTabs managed, surpassed $150 million in three years after inception under Mr. Chen’s management. Before joining TrimTabs in 2008, Mr. Chen was an international finance manager for ZTE Corporation, a Hong Kong-listed telecommunications solution provider, where he led the finance and investment operations in the firm’s emerging markets division. Mr. Chen graduated from Shanghai International Studies University with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern Polytechnic University.
