Geoff Burns, President and CEO of Pan American Silver Corp., joined the company in 2003 and was appointed CEO in May 2004. His career in the precious metals and mining industry spans over 25 years, and his experience includes activities related to corporate financial management as well as numerous capital markets transactions such as equity, debt, convertible debt placements and acquisitions. Mr. Burns led the company’s growth from three to seven operating mines and the acquisition of Aquiline Resources in 2010, and Minefinders Corporation Ltd., and its Dolores mine, in March 2012. Mr. Burns has extensive experience in project development, from feasibility through construction, start up and into continuous operations. Before joining Pan American Silver Corp., Mr. Burns held several executive positions at mining companies like Prime Resources, Homestake Mining Company and Coeur D’Alene Mines Corp.
