Henry, David B.
David B. Henry is President, CEO and Vice Chairman of Kimco Realty Corporation. He has served as Kimco’s President since November 2008, and its CEO since December 2009. Mr. Henry is also Vice Chairman of the company’s board of directors. In these leadership roles, Mr. Henry is responsible for the overall direction and execution of corporate strategy for Kimco, a real estate investment trust that owns and operates North America’s largest portfolio of neighborhood and community shopping centers. Mr. Henry joined Kimco in April 2001 as the company’s Chief Investment Officer. Prior to this, he spent 23 years at GE Capital Real Estate, most notably as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer since 1997, responsible for pension advisory activities and investment policies and strategies in the U.S. and international markets. Additionally, Mr. Henry was Chairman of GE Capital’s investment committee and a member of the credit committee. Before joining GE Capital, he spent six years at Republic Mortgage Investors, a REIT based in Coral Gables, Fla. Mr. Henry graduated from Bucknell University in 1971 with a B.S. in business administration, and received an MBA in 1973 from the University of Miami. He currently serves on the boards of the health-care-focused real estate company HCP and the mutual savings bank Fairfield County Bank. In addition, Mr. Henry is a current Trustee and served as 2011-2012 Chairman of the International Council of Shopping Centers, is a member of the board of governors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, and is a member of the nonprofit real estate industry policy organization Real Estate Roundtable.
