Ventas, Inc. – Raymond J. Lewis (vtr)

Raymond J. Lewis is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Ventas, Inc. He was named Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of the company in October 2002, and he was promoted to Executive Vice President in January 2006. Previously, Mr. Lewis was Managing Director of Business Development for GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services, a division of General Electric Capital Corporation, which is a subsidiary of General Electric Corporation. There he led a team focused on mergers and portfolio acquisitions of health care assets. Prior to that, Mr. Lewis was Executive Vice President of health care finance for Heller Financial, Inc.,which was acquired by GECC in 2001. In this role he had primary responsibility for health care lending. Mr. Lewis has served as a Director of the Assisted Living Federation of America, and as Chairman and a Director of the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC).
